Smt. Suvarna Kishor Keole, Judicial Member, Lokayukta, Maharashtra

Hon’ble Smt. Suvarna Kishor Keole is a retired senior judicial officer of the Maharashtra Judicial Service. She holds M.Com.LL.B. degree and practised as an Advocate from 1988 to 2010. After rendering 22 years of distinguished service in the legal profession, she was selected and appointed as a District Judge in 2010.

During her judicial career, she served as a Judge of the City Civil and Sessions Court, at Mumbai and Ahmednagar, and subsequently as Principal District and Sessions Judge at Jalna and Akola, where she delivered several significant judgments. These included, in particular, cases relating to offences against women and children and numerous cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act. She also served as the Principal of the Government Law College, Mumbai.

She is the first woman to be appointed as Principal Secretary and Remembrancer of Legal Affairs (RLA) in the Law and Judiciary Department of the Government of Maharashtra. She possesses extensive experience in the fields of judicial administration, significant judicial decisions, legal education, and Government legal affairs.

She is appointed as Judicial Member, Lokayukta, Maharashtra State, on 14th August 2026.
